REN Skincare – Perfect Canvas Primer Serum

Welcome back to Surreal Serene!!! Today I have a special post for you all, and it’s all about my collaboration with *REN Skincare on the *Perfect Canvas Primer Serum!!!

I was kindly sent their limited edition bottle that features bottle tattoo transfers that you can customise the bottle!!! HOW ADORABLE??? The tattoo transfers feature different cute illustrations from lipsticks, to swatches, to makeup brushes! They’re so cute and you can apply them onto the matte *REN Skincare bottle in the way you’d apply a temporary tattoo! I think it’s a very cool touch, and I love the creativity behind this! … and it’s all to mark the 1 year anniversary of *Perfect Canvas!!!

The *REN Skincare – Perfect Canvas Primer Serum is a gorgeous Silicone free serum that aims to mattify the skin, and is suitable for all skin types!!!

I love the smell of this serum, it smells divine, it’s fragranced slightly but all 100% natural fragrance, it smells very floral!!!! I love that the serum is not very sticky and it blends so easily into the skin! Nothing is worse than either a running or a very thick serum, but the Perfect Canvas has the right consistency! I love the way that the serum instantly blends onto your skin and dries within 30 seconds, leaving you with a gorgeous matte flawless face ready for your foundation to go on top! This is perfect for the morning makeup routine, or when you’re rushing around! I love how long lasting it keeps your makeup on, and how it makes your foundation glow with radiance!!!

One tiny little thing to note, after I used the Perfect Canvas on my first use, I noticed a blemish on my chin (however, I cannot 100% say that the Perfect Canvas has caused a spot to pop out)….. but since then I’ve been using it every day and my skin is clear, refreshed, mattified and looking radiant as ever – with no spots must I point out!!! So all in all this is a great thing 🙂

|| How to apply ||

You should use the *Perfect Canvas Primer Serum directly after you moisturise your face! At the moment I’m loving the Simple – Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream which you can check out here!

After you moisturise your face, you should use the pipette to apply about 3-4 drops (as suggested by *REN Skincare) on your face and gently massage in the serum across your face in circular / upward motions!

This will create the perfect matte skin face and will prepare your face for your favourite foundation to go on top! At the moment I’m alternating between my Cover FX – Play Foundation and my Giorgio Armani – Maestro Fusion Foundation!!!

The recycling thinker within me boosts at the thought that ohhh the actual bottle is 100% recyclable! So woooop that just made this even more exciting for me! But the pipette is not recyclable so if bought, loved, used and then wanting to recycle it! Separate the bottle from the pipette and dispose!!!

Listen to this, I think *REN Skincare have seriously convinced me to stick with their primer serum! I will actually not use another primer for a long time, until one beats this incredible little miracle product!!! I am in awe over the *Perfect Canvas Primer Serum! IT’S JUST PURELY AMAZING!!!
