Welcome back to I Am Serene L!!! Today I’ll be talking about everything to do with the Beautyblender. This little makeup sponge has changed my ways of applying makeup & I love love love it!!!
The Beautyblender is a Latex Free, makeup sponge with an Oval shape and a pointed edge. Its shaped is created perfectly to glide through the face edges and blend in makeup with ease in all areas!!!
The Beautyblender is best used when slightly wetted. I would recommend wetting it with some water and then tapping out any excess water from the sponge before using it to blend in any foundation, concealer or powder!!! It’s perfect in blending your makeup with a flawless finish, something I believe that is missing from using a brush or fingers to apply and blend in your makeup!!! The Beautyblender is a perfect tool as it minimises the absorption of makeup into the sponge through the way the sponge has been constructed with an open cell structure to give a flawless application of makeup and can blend in your makeup perfectly!!! … and I’ve noticed a massive difference in my makeup application!
It’s recommended that you should cleanse your Beautyblender after every use for maximum results, however if you have no time to spare you can cleanse the brush using a makeup cleanser or even Johnson’s Baby Shampooย every 2 uses, and it’s recommended that you replace your Beautyblender every 3 months, but I would say every 4 -5 months if you cleanse and store your sponge properly!!!
Applying the Beautyblender, I just wet the sponge, apply the foundation, correctors, concealers and powders and blend the foundation using the sponge all over my face!!!! WITH EASE …. & then I use the pointed end to blend in the corners of my face like around the eyes, the edges of my nose and the edges of my face!!!
I’ve also used the Beautyblender to wipe away any makeup mishaps like correcting lipstick around my lips or fall out from eyeshadow!!! The uses are endless and once you go Beautyblender, you never go back!!! … I love the Pro Black colour, and love the appearance of it and the colour <3 !!!!
All in all, I would 100% recommend trying out the Beautyblender for perfect, flawless and gorgeous makeup application!!! They come in a variation of different colours, so if the black one isn’t your style, you can grab a pink, nude or even a red one!!!

hey serene! i love my beautyblenders as well. i think i’ve had all but the black. i didn’t know if it had a different function or not. it’s next on my list to try. they serve so many great purposes. excellent review.

You know what? I have a beauty blender on my dressing table that is literally unopened. I bought it after reading so many positive reviews and yet STILL haven’t got around to using t haha! I have been using my beauty blender religiously now for months! I didn’t like it much at first, but I revisited it and now I put all my foundation brushes away! I haven’t gone a day without using it. It’s a great little tool! Great post, thank you for sharing! <3 ๐

I resisted for a long while, also! I didn’t like that it drank up my foundation. I felt like I was wasting product, however, I was using FAR too much foundation anyway. Now I use it with the same foundation, just not quite as much, and if I do need more coverage, I just build it up instead of using a lot from the start.
It really did turn out to be a great beauty tool, and I am so glad that I tried it again! <3
Honestly, thatโs what I really felt about sponges prior to buying and trying this beauty blender, I felt like sponges would absorb so much foundation, but I was so surprised that it didnโt :D!
