Glossier – Invisible Sheld Daily Sunscreen with SPF 30

Hi Everyone!!!

Welcome back! 🙂 Today I’m back and sharing with you all, everything you need to know about the Glossier Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen with SPF 30.

I’ve been looking at SPF Sunscreens for a while since exfoliating, and I had mentioned that it’s better to utilise a sunscreen if you’re planning on exfoliating in your morning skincare routine, you can check out my exfoliating post here for more information!!!

So I have been looking at a couple of alternatives, and ended up trying out this Glossier one!!! I was impressed by the price point of this Sunscreen, as it was priced at £20.00 in comparison to some high end sunscreen alternatives out there & the packaging definitely caught my attention. I love the yellow / white circular tube of the invisible shield and the fact it’s yellow, as it represents the colour of the sun! Clever 😀

It’s recommended that you wear a sunscreen when you exfoliate to protect your face against the UV Rays, as your skin is extra sensitive when you exfoliate, especially during the day, and this is one of the ways I utilise the Glossier Invisible Shield! and I mainly use the sunscreen for this purpose!

I need to comment on the smell of it, it smells so citrus and beautiful, but not overbearing and it really does make it feel more luxurious and I love this about the sunscreen :D… The formula is also transparent and will instantly blend perfectly onto the surface of the skin. It will take a minute for it to set, and any makeup on top will blend with ease … the formula is so perfect and light… a feeling you don’t get with most sunscreens of the same SPF! … but one thing about this that I have to mention, is that the Glossier Invisible Shield is not water resistant and not sweat proof, so that’s a little point that I had to mention but otherwise I really don’t even mind this … and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT… it doesn’t affect your makeup / oil control if you are placing makeup on top!

|| How To Use ||

(1) When Exfoliating in the morning, you can utilise the Invisible Shield after, but as the last step in your skincare routine, and after your apply your primer – ready for makeup. I usually use my Glossier Priming Moisturiser as my primer base and then I apply the Glossier Invisible Shield.

(2) You can also use this as a daily sunscreen protector, and it’s recommended you apply this 15 minutes before you’re in direct exposure of the sun, and it’s recommended you also reapply the sunscreen every 2 hours! … (But I’m going to be honest) … for this purpose I’d use a cheaper sunscreen alternative as you’ll be pumping a lot … and I would mainly use this for a protector under my makeup!!!

The main ingredients inside the Glossier Invisible Shield are:

Active Microcapsules – which are spheres packed with UVA / UVB filters that are distributed in every application!!!

H20 Water Gel – Which is a gel formula without drying alcohol and no grease to enable the Invisible Shield to disappear onto the skin with ease!!!

Antioxidant Complex of Vitamin EVitamin P, Broccoli and Aloe Leaf to help neutralise free radicals!

Fermented Yeast & Vegetal Extract – Which helps to create an invisible and breathable matrix on top of the skin that prevents pollution from entering!!!

Sweet Orange Peel Oil – Which forms the scent of the Invisible Shield!!!

    1. No unfortunately it doesn’t come in a higher spf 🙁 I wish it did! But for a higher spf I would suggest you try the kiehls one Shireen, it has spf 50 xoxo

    1. It lasts all day on the face I would say if you’re using it as a makeup base! … however alone under the sun without any makeup application above you should at least apply every 2-3 hours!!! Xoxo
