I am really excited to be sharing with you a little insight into my Brother’s Graduation ceremony last week with my family to celebrate my brother’s wonderful achievements and to congratulate him on graduating from his International Management (Middle East & North Africa)ย Bscย degree course at SOAS University!!! ๐ I’m a proud Sister ๐
Going to a Graduation, it’s a very formal type of event so I opted for a simple yet practical type of formal wear by dressing up in Monochrome! I fell in love with a Frill & pleated Chiffon Top from Topshop that my eyes captured immediately!!! I love the top because it has little detailing on it from the pleated sleeves, to the frilled pleated panel on the front & the cropped style of it, which is perfect to wear with a pair of high waisted jeans for a more casual type of look, or with a pair of high waisted trousers!
I teamed the look with a pretty pair of Leather lace up block heel sandals I picked up at Office! I’m not going to lie to you, the shoes are beautiful but they are so painful to wear! Especially the fact that the leather rubs against your little toe! I would suggest loosening up the lace on the sandals in order to prevent the shoes rubbing against your toes!!!! …. but other than that they’re REALLY Pretty & I love anything Lacey & Monochrome!
I also can’t say enough how much I’m in love with High waisted jeans, and that I’m not afraid to always talk to you about my love for Topshop Jeans! I absolutely love the Joni High waisted Cut! …. and I would use any excuse to add another pair to my jeans collection! So I picked up a beautiful pair of Joni Jeans with a really high waisted cut style and ankle grazing finish on the leg in a dark grey denim to finish the entire look & it goes perfectly with the cropped top style as well! ๐ … & I added a gem of a jacket that I picked up a while ago from Topshop …. which features a peplum styled hem which is perfect with the skinny fitted jeans! …. & I added a bit of a subtle pop of colour through the addition of my practical but also pretty Ted Baker pink Clutch bag that I bought about 2 years ago for my birthday! … The pop of the pink & the crystals added a bit of glam to the look & gave the entire monochrome look a bit of colour!
