Amsterdam – Travel Diaries Part 2

I am really excited to share with you all Part 2 of my Amsterdam Travel Diaries!!!

If you’ve missed part 1 you can click here & check out all the pictures from my first day in Amsterdam 🙂 !!!

On day 2 of my time in Amsterdam, I met up with my lovely friend Didem who made her way down from Rotterdam to see me & she showed me & my brother around the shops. She took us to a couple of Cheese shops. Ahh the lovely cheese! They have stacks of cheeses but my favourite was a Baby Gouda with a hint of Coconut inside! YUM! 😀

My friend Didem told us about the love for fries in Holland & I had to enter their famous fries chains to pick up myself some tasty fries & oh my my how tasty they were. They were just the perfect combination of crispiness and softness <3 So when you’re in Amsterdam you have to enter one of the Chipsy King chains & get yourself a handful of tastiness! <3

We also passed through the Flower markets where you can find Tulip bulbs with every colour imaginable! 🙂 I managed to pick out a few assortments of Tulip bulbs for my mum as she loves gardening. I picked her out some Tulip bulbs in a Midnight blue colour & a coloured assortment of tulips :D!

Along our walk, we ended up by the Rijks Museum! It was a Lovely museum to visit in the afternoon we were introduced to a lot of Art & Historical pieces from many periods of times and regions around the world. The Rijks Museum offers a representative overview of Dutch art and history from the Middle Ages onwards, and of major aspects of European and Asian art.

I am Serene L

  1. Oh my god! How amazing are these photos! Absolutely love the look of the food! Yummm! You and your brother & friend look so gorgeous 🙂 x

  2. The Rijks is looking lovely 🙂 Such a great one to visit. Next time check out Haarlem or Delft for some Dutch Medieval charm!

    1. Noo way! 😀 I adored the Dutch section at the Rijks 🙂 I will check out the Delft & Haarlem next time? I’m already so excited to go back hehhe :p xo

      1. Honestly, I might drop by London before that. I am having serious cravings for a good shopping trip to Harrods, Fortnum& Mason and Covent Garden…don’t know how long I will last with these cheap easyjet tickets 😉

      2. Oh my gosh! If you come down you have to tell me 😀 I know right easy jet makes travelling irresistible! And the flight from Holland is only 45 minutes INCREDIBLE 😀 hehehe! Xoxo

      3. I always say that the plane goes up, is vertical for about 5 minutes, and than the landing starts! Love that about flying to London 🙂
I will let you know if I do splurge on a little London time for me 😀

      4. Hehehe! I like that thought 🙂 it will keep my mind from being bored! I love when the pilot announces it’s 5 mins to landing! The best 5 minutes of my life haha! Please do! Cause if you come we are going to have the shopping of our lives 😀 xoxo

    1. Hahahah <3 Girlll their fries are their national dish 😛 according to my friend who lives there! You can't ignore the fries! You need to try them out hehehe 🙂 xoxox

  3. You really made the most out of your trip Serene – I love that you made the time to visit some cheese shops, that’s essential when visiting Amsterdam! I love your fur gilet by the way 🙂

  4. YES! My favourite place in the whole world. Despite having been 4 times (with a fifth time coming up in December!) I still don’t feel like I’ve discovered everything there is to discover in the Dam. We went to the Rijksmuseum however it was having a major refurb so we didn’t see too much of it. It would be great to get back and see it again.
Also, can I just say how AMAZING your make up looks? I need some lessons please!
