I am really excited to share with you all my tips of getting more out of your makeup products!!!

I’ve collaborated with the wonderful Roxanne from Rox’s Blog on this tutorial! We really wanted to show you all our tips on getting the most out of your makeup products, by multi-using them for different makeup effects! You can check out Roxanne’s Makeup tips here!

We tend to use our makeup for one task, for instance our Lipsticks are mainly for our lips  & our Blushes are for our cheeks & so on!

But why can’t we just play around with our makeup and use it to achieve new and fun things! My tutorial will talk you through some of different ways I use my makeup products.

|| Vaseline || 

Vaseline, ah the petroleum jelly that completes my life! Is one of the best products to keep in your makeup area. You can’t begin to imagine how many different uses you can achieve with the power of Vaseline!

(1) You can use your Vaseline to make your Blush into a Tinted Lipgloss.

You can mix some Vaseline with your favourite Blush to make up a tinted Lipgloss colour. Imagine gathering all your Blushes together to make a new & exciting lip colour – personalised for yourself! Genius!!!

(2) You can even take a Lipstick colour of your choosing & make it into a Blush!

Mixing your favourite lipstick with some petroleum Jelly will create a creamy formula perfect to blend in with your blush Brush & Voila a new Blush colour is created!!!

(3) You can mix your  powder eyeshadows with Vaseline to create an Ultra – creamy eyeshadow!

If you’re looking for a more intense eye look, you can mix a bit of Vaseline with a powder Glitter eyeshadow to create an intensified shadow. An eyeshadow perfect for a Dramatic eye look!

|| Lip Liner / Eyeliners ||

Lip Liners & eyeliners are great makeup tools that you can multi use on your eyes & lips.

Using a White Eyeliner pencil for instance. It can be used to highlight your eyes (by adding white to your water line, you will widen up the eye area & create a fresh eye makeup look) !!!

Or you can use the same white eyeliner to line your lips. Adding white eyeliner below your lipstick will make your lips appear fuller & will also keep your lipstick on for longer.

Here are some Looks I’ve created with my makeup tips, I’ve used My Lipsticks as Blushes & Blushes as lipsticks (mixed with Vaseline!

& Used white eyeliner to highlight my eyes, as well as beneath my lipstick colours to keep the lipstick last longer on the lips!!! As seen in the picture below

The main thing is to have fun with your makeup, because you never know what you can actually create with it all!!!!

      1. I definitely will! I’m really interested in turning the blush into a lip gloss! I even have a coco-butter Vaseline I think will be great for this use 🙂 x

  26. Haha, sometimes when I get up at stupid o’clock in the morning and try to put my makeup on I stumble across some of these. With much less success than you. Let’s just say that’s how I discovered the fabulous ‘mascara nose’ look 😉

    1. Hahaha, Ohh I’m intrigued you had me at Mascar Nose 😆 what does that involve hehe :p – I tend to mix and match the colours in the morning too with one eye open (I think myself & Roxy came up with the idea to do this post because she used a cheek tint on her lips for Xmas) hehehe :p xox

      2. 😆 Oh God, you see that happens with you on your nose & for me right after I’ve set my foundation & Powder a Blotch of Mascara decides to land on my cheek 😄 The Funniest & most annoying thing to happen when you’re cranky in the morning haha xox

  28. You are so pretty! I will definitely have to try a few of these out. A way that I like to re-purpose my makeup is by mixing foundation with moisturizer to create a tinted moisturizer on days where I just want something light!

    1. Thanks so much Lovely :-)!!! I love that Tip 🙊 I sometimes Mix my Foundation with some Moistutiser too, to keep the coverage looking a bit more natural! thanks for reminding me of doing that :p I should really apply light coverage from time to time!!! 🙂 xox

  39. so many great tips! I tried using my lipstick as a brush a few times and was happy with results…but I didn’t know you can use blush as a lip gloss by adding vaseline.

    great post…having fun with make up is always good. I learned a few things that way:)

      1. Just makes it less dry, you know sometimes when you’re coming to the end Of the mascara, plus it’s better than using water as the Eyedrops are sterilised xoxo
